Built in the Early 1900's, the Building Is Notable for Its Occupants, Young’s Cafe, and the Well Known Golden Gate Grocery. Bert & Ernie's Obtained the Site From the Thomas Corontzos Family Who Had Operated the Store Until the Late 1960's. the Rear Portion of the Building, Which Had To Be Razed, Had Been the Location of Slack’s Cycle. While Gutting the Entire Building, the Restaurant Did Retain A Significant Amount of the Original "ambiance" Found Here. Many Features Such As the Original Tin Ceiling, the Old Walk-In Cooler, and the Painted Brick Exterior Have Added To the "rustic and Classic" Atmosphere That Has Come To Define Bert & Ernie's. the Owners of Bert & Ernie's Are Very Proud of Their Restaurant. We Pride Ourselves in Serving As Many Montana and American Made Products As We Can.
